Fannie Mae lost $1.52 billion third quarter
Fannie Mae posted a third quarter loss of $1.52 billion was double the loss from a year ago during the same quarter.
Last year, Fannie Mae, the nation’s largest source of mortgage financing, posted a loss of $760 million during the third quarter. This year they blame the increases losses on slumping home prices and the squeeze in credit markets.
