US Mortgage Applications increase

The number of U.S. mortgage applications advanced last week according to The Mortgage Bankers Association.

According to the MBA, the number of mortgage applications increase by 0.03 percent to 656.5 from previous week’s 656.3.

Overall mortgage applications last month were 11.5 above their levels a year ago.  Economists believe that’s due to prospective borrowers applying for multiple mortgages due to tightening lending standards.
