Tampa Bay home price drop did not boost sales
Although buyers have been dropping their prices in the Tampa Bay area, home sales continue to drop.
According to the Florida Association of Realtors, the median sales price of existing single-family homes in the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater area fell 10 percent in September to $200,700 compared to September of 2006.
Meanwhile, the number of homes sold dropped 40 percent in September where 1,691 homes were sold compared to 2,803 in September 2006.
