Sarasota is an affordable market

According to the 2007 Coldwell Banker Home Price Comparison Index, Sarasota is an affordable housing market.

The annual comparison of middle management homes in 317 United States housing markets,  found Beverly Hills is still the most expensive market in the nation.  There, a 2,200 square-foot, 4 bedroom, 2 1/2 bathroom home runs $2.21 million.  Sarasota is right in the middle at $367,500.

Compare this to North Carolina and Tennessee, where many Floridians are retreating to, where the index shows $238,000 and $238,833 respectively.
