Countrywide will help 82,000 borrowers
Countrywide Financial has offered to help refinance or restructure up to $16 billion worth of adjustable rate mortgages through 2008.
Countrywide said its program will help up to 82,000 borrowers to face upcoming payment adjustments. Countrywide will be offering new mortgages to 52,000 subprime mortgage borrowers. It also plans on modifying the loan terms for $4 billion worth of loans for some 20,000 borrowers who are unable to refinance. And finally, Countrywide is going to restructure $2.2 billion worth of loans for subprime borrowers who are currently delinquent on their mortgages.

countrywide help is only a joke.I called and want to lower my mortgage payment what increases from $3,000 to $ 4,000/month and I was turned down because my house is worthed about same amount how much is my loan…I hate when television,news said go to bank and negotiate well it is a big joke..BANK ARE A BIGGEST CRIMINALS and even if you want to do something and stay in house nobody cares…..
