South Florida Housing Costs Rise

South Florida housing costs have increased 8.4% in July and August, the highest annual increase in 25 years according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. By contrast, the cost of overall prices — housing, food, fuel, and other costs went up 3.7%.

Luckily home owners in South Florida, thanks to the homestead exemption, will have fixed property taxes and if they have a 30 year mortgage will have fixed payments, despite increased housing costs.
