30-Year Mortgage Rates Rise, Adjustable Rates Fall

Rates on 30-Year fixed rated mortgages rose for a second straight week. Freddie Mac, the government sponsored enterprise, reported that 30-year fixed-rate mortgages average 6.42% this week compared to 6.34% last week.Rates on five-year adjustable-rate mortgages (5 year ARMs) declined for a fourth week straight.
