Orlando Named a Top Relocation City; Flurry of Florida Home Mortgage Activity in Area

The area has been named the number-two relocation city in the country, largely due to its high-paying jobs and affordable housing, according to Retirement Solutions Foundation, based in Madison, Wis.

Also included in the top six areas were West Palm Beach and Fort Myers. These rankings should help ease at least some concerns that the housing market is stuck in a decline. People from around the world DO seem interested in coming to the Sunshine State for a Florida home mortgage.

Overall, cities were chosen for their high rankings in job growth, home affordability and quality of life. The organization cited the four-county area surrounding Orlando for its 4,700 high-tech companies that employ 80,000 people in well-paying jobs as among the reasons for its inclusion on the list.
