Florida Home Building Companies Atop National Rankings

There are more and more signs that the Florida housing market is NOT, in fact, undergoing any sort of significant bust.

For one thing, Florida home mortgage rates continue to fall. This leaves opportunities open for hopeful buyers from all income levels to submit the COST-FREE form atop this page.

Also, despite an increasingly challenging new-home building market, a pair of Sunshine State companies - Pulte Homes and Centex Homes - lead customer satisfaction rankings across the country, according to the J.D. Power and Associates’ 2006 New-Home Builder Customer Satisfaction Study.

“New-home builders today are facing challenges unlike any they’ve experienced in recent years,” said Paula Sonkin, executive director of the real estate industries practice at J.D. Power and Associates, in a release. “As the market softens and inventories rise, builders now find themselves in more of a selling mode, forcing them to negotiate prices and offer incentives at the same time they struggle with labor issues and increasing building material costs.

As builders fight for every sale they close in this downturned market, a reputation for customer satisfaction becomes more important than ever, as it helps builders differentiate themselves from the competition.”

And if businesses based locally are doing well, there must be demand for Florida mortgage loans across the state. Why else would clients even be contacting these building companies?

The study, now in its 10th year, includes satisfaction ratings of builders in 34 of the largest U.S. home-building markets, including the Tampa Bay housing market.
