Pair of Central Florida Communities Ranked Among Nation’s Best
Searching for a Florida home loan? You could do a lot worse than Orlando.
These days, in fact, you’d be hard pressed to do any better anywhere in the country. While home sales are slowing around the nation, they are on the rise in Central Florida. Moreover, two communities in this area were just ranked among the best in the U.S., according to a Maryland-based real estate advisory firm.
- The Villages, with 4,262 sales in 2005, was the top selling master-planned community in the America for the third straight year. It’s a a massive community of more than 19,000 homes and 36,000 residents in Lake, Marion and Sumter counties; and it sold 3,955 homes last year, increasing 8 percent from 2004.
- Poinciana, a 47,000-acre community in northwest Osceola and northeast Polk counties, was ranked the second best selling master-planned community. It sold 3,192 homes in 2005, up 15 percent from 2,779 homes in 2004.
Home values in Orlando remain high, even as sales numbers climb. It’s a unique situation that appeals to BOTH buyers and sellers. This is the prime example of a healthy, strong Florida home loan market.
